- In 2010, 3.2 million exams were taken by nearly 1.8 million students worldwide. In Canada, more than 23,750 exams were written by over 15,800 students.
- Except for the three Studio Art exams, which are portfolio assessments, AP Exams contain multiple-choice questions and a free-response section.
- More than 3,600 colleges and universities annually receive AP Exam scores.
