During the week of January 23 – 27, 2017, Burnaby South Secondary is participating in The Hour of Code.
This worldwide movement, celebrating computer science started in 2013 and has become the biggest educational event in the world. It is, as the name suggests, approximately one hour long activities, organized by https://code.org/learn.
Here at Burnaby South Secondary, we have participated in the Hour of Code for four years, the last two being a school wide activity – all grade 8, 9 and 10 will participating by trying some or all of the activities below.
Parents and students are invited to attend our Secondary School Open House Events. They provide an opportunity to tour the schools, meet the teachers and principals, learn about optional programs and course selection. You’ll also find out how to register if you’re new to the district or considering a school outside your catchment.
