On Tuesday, April 25, 2017, we went to school. But we weren’t writing tests, and while we did give a few speeches, the most important thing is what the students did. Over the course of one school day, a group of about 50 students at Burnaby South Secondary — featuring students from the Burnaby School District’s Career Education Computer Networking Technician Program — spent the day with us and a few volunteer engineers from UBC, and built LipSyncs.

Burnaby South Leadership Presents…
Rebel For A Day!
Burnaby South Junior Leadership is hosting Rebel for A Day for grade 7s on June 21st, 2017 at Burnaby South Secondary.
This is a day when current Grade 7 students get the chance to participate in workshops and fun activities led by the teachers and students of Burnaby South. Throughout the day, there will be many opportunities for students to ask their questions about high school and get their answers.
There will be lunch, snacks, and a t-shirt provided. If your child has dietary concerns, please make them bring their own lunch. The day will begin at 9:00am and will end at 2:45pm. All students should be coming from their elementary school with their classes. However, if your son or daughter is coming without their class, please be at Burnaby South by 8:45am and pick up at 2:45 p.m.
It is advised to wear comfortable clothing as there will be physical activities involved.
